Archaeological Collection

The Cliche-Rancourt Lake Aylmer Archaeological Collection has recently been donated to the museum. This collection contains several hundred lithic tools and a few thousand lithic flakes gathered between 1972 and the summer of 2010 from various sites surrounding Lake Aylmer. These objects provide a unique reference tool for researchers who are interested in the human prehistoric occupation of the St. Francis River Basin. The collection is on exhibit at the museum in the regional archaeology display case.

The Cliche-Rancourt Lake Aylmer Archaeological Collection is presented to the first floor of the Sherbrooke nature science Museum.
