100 YEARS: A Countdown to Life!

Kids of all ages will eventually get old. 100 YEARS A Countdown to Life! is a unique exhibition that will take you through the process of aging. You’ll be surprised to see the look of your face when you’re 72 years old.

From birth to 100 years… a unique adventure, experienced 10 years at a time! Discover the characteristics and highlights of each decade. Walk, pedal, play and learn… it’s never too late to improve your physical and intellectual health. How about animals… do they live as long as we do?

TECHNICAL DETAILS

Ideal space:

Floor plan of the exhibition

  • 200 square meters or 2 150 square feet;

  • 2,45 meters or 8 feet of ceiling height;

  • Storage space of 18 square meters or 195 square feet for the 8 transport crates and 1 plat-form.

The 100 YEARS A Countdown to Life! exhibition is subdivided into 12 areas composed of freestanding modules.

More specifically, this exhibition includes:

  • The Aging Machine, a software that shows you what you will look like at 72 years old!;

  • 11 artistic photos by Grant Simeon;

  • 1 central area with benches for viewing the film Ageing, its joys and tribulations;

  • 1 game simulating the symptoms of ageing;

  • 1 display case containing 9 naturalized specimens;

  • 18 interactive games;

  • 12 audio commentaries;

  • 1 interactive terminal on tissue engineering;

  • 3 pieces of exercise equipment;

  • 1 Tic-Tac sound;

  • 15 pull-out information panels;

  • 2 binders;

  • 1 brochure display rack.

A complete educational guide for children of elementary school and high school is included with the exhibition.
