Illegal Killer Trade!

Animal lovers choose a travel destination and begin an adventure.  You will have to pass through customs, but before you do, make sure you know what souvenirs you can bring back. One, two, three... what a change of scene!  There you are in an exotic bazaar, where animals are at the basis of many offered products. Clothing or souvenir stalls, exotic animals’ caves, street cooking, apothecary... one will try to tempt you. You will discover which animals are the most threatened by trade. Will you be of those who will contribute to their disappearance by bringing back an illegal travel souvenir? We will know, when you pass through customs.

The exhibition evokes a journey to a bazaar. The visitor enters through a travel agency, crosses the borders and arrives in a bazaar composed of a central place and five stalls:

A souvenir stall;
An apothecary;
A clothing and accessory stall;
An exotic animals’ cave;
A street kitchen.

This exhibition is made possible by the generous contributions of:

Canadian Heritage Museum Assistance Program

This exhibition is a production of:

Each stall includes a game in which the visitor is confronted to purchase choices. Unique collection pieces seized at customs are presented.

Before leaving the exhibition, the visitor must pass through customs. Beware, a luggage detector sensitive to endangered species awaits him!
