Smile! The tooth and nothing but the tooth

A unique journey into the world of teeth, dentistry and the care for one of our body’s most important part! Visitors will go through the history of dentistry and dental care. They will also understand the close link that we have with animals and will be amazed at the importance of teeth and the many cultures of the world. The final zone is reserved for children. The Tooth Fairy herself is there to introduce it. This is a reproduction of a dental clinic. There is a small dentist’s chair, a movable lamp, a costume, dental tools and X-rays. You can even hear the noise of a small turbine...

Ideal space:

Floor plan of the exhibition

  • 200 square meters or 2 150 square feet;

  • 2,45 meters or 8 feet of ceiling height;

  • Storage space of 14 square meters or 150 square feet for the 7 transport crates, 5 dolleys and 5 plat-forms.

The exhibition Smile! The tooth and nothing but the tooth is subdivided into 6 zones made of self-supporting modules shaped as molars, each with 3 levels of audience outreach: kids, kids with parents, adults.

 

More specifically, this exhibition includes:

  • 32 glass panels with artefacts and objects;

  • 40 interactive games;

  • 4 comic books (2 French, 2 English);

  • 1 couch;

  • 2 computer stations;

  • 112 objects, many to touch and 53 from collections;

  • 1 toothpaste carrier on wheels;

  • 1 waiting room of a dentist office with books and chairs shaped as molars;

  • 1 dentist chair with light & sound (turbine and suction pump;

  • 1 dentist cabinet with objects and radiography;

  • 18 drawers containing games for kids.

A complete educational guide for children of daycare, kindergarten, elementary school and high school is included with the exhibition.
